Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to join the finance and operations team. You will prepare and issue invoices, resolve inquiries, and maintain accuracy for multiple projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers and adherence to customer guidelines and internal processes.

This position is remote within the United States, with overtime required around month‑end periods to ensure timely closes and quality control.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime from the 1st through the 4th of each month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices in line with customer requirements and schedules.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice issues promptly.
• Review billing information for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Troubleshoot billing discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on billing matters.
