Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience working with financial transactions, billing, or accounts receivable in a corporate environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a business-related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with billing software and ERP systems (Dynamics or similar).
• Strong data entry and data validation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze account data, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple accounts and billing tasks.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and internal controls related to billing and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve new customer accounts, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate before activation.
• Update and maintain customer account information, including adjustments and corrections.
• Generate, review, and process invoices with accurate charges, pricing, discounts, taxes, and terms.
• Scrutinize billing data for completeness and address discrepancies to minimize disputes.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance to resolve billing issues.
• Respond professionally to billing inquiries and resolve disputes to maintain client relationships.
• Maintain detailed AR files and documentation for audits and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to billing policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in projects to improve billing processes, systems, or policies.
