Qualifications

• Previous medical billing experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and oral/written communication
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word
• Act 33 Clearance, Act 34 Clearance, and FBI Clearance

Responsibilities

• Ensure health providers are paid for medical services rendered
• Post payments
• Review patient medical records
• Coordinate reimbursement activities with payers
• Bill patients for medical services
• Verify medical insurance
• Utilize EMR software/clearinghouse for medical billing and coding
• Create and submit disputes, reconsiderations, investigations, and appeals to carriers
• May handle claims, collections, reimbursements, transfers, and insurance fraud issues with carriers and patients
