Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking an Accounts Resolution Specialist who will help ensure proper billing and timely reimbursement. The role requires extensive insurance billing knowledge, denial management, and strong customer service to coordinate between patients, payers, and providers.

The position supports remote work across multiple states and emphasizes accuracy, communication, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
• 2 years of insurance claims follow-up.
• 2 years of claim denial management.
• 5 years of experience within a physician and/or facility business office.
• 1 year of experience working in a remote environment.
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
• Must have flu shot or exemption requiring masking during company established flu season.

Responsibilities

• Follows up on required daily accounts to reduce the A/R.
• Validates denied claims and determines appropriate denial resolution, including authorizations/retro authorizations/precertification.
• Uses WAYSTAR to submit appeal letters and payer documentation for unpaid/underpaid claims.
• Prioritizes work to increase collections process efficiency.
• Documents actions toward account resolution within Avatar and WAYSTAR using standardized notes.
• Meets department productivity requirements.
• Communicates opportunities with leadership using SBAR format.
• Follows CHS leadership chain of command and participates in AR reduction initiatives.
• Troubleshoots technical issues and communicates with leadership as required.
• Performs other duties as needed.
