Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in healthcare, call center, banking or retail.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Superior customer service skills with empathy.
• Strong data entry/typing skills.
• Strong navigation skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Critical thinking to analyze and understand a specific request.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Dental and Vision callers with eligibility, benefit coverage, authorizations, claims, and provider search.
• Apply knowledge of claim adjustments and resubmission to resolve provider requests.
• Provide feedback on high-level claim issues to ensure prompt resolution.
• Support enrollment activities including assigning primary care providers and updating insurance info.
• Act as liaison between our organization and Member Services to resolve eligibility and appeals/grievances.
• Provide updates to providers on credentialing status.
• Educate callers on using the provider web portal and its benefits.
• Ensure all calls are answered per guidelines.
• Document call information and resolution in internal systems.
• Use diffusion techniques to ensure customers feel heard and supported.
• Escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.
• Provide recommendations on system/process improvements to management.
• Keep Provider Relations updated on provider-related issues.
• Participate in departmental projects when applicable.
