Job summary

MED-EL is seeking a bilingual Consumer Engagement Specialist to support individuals considering or living with cochlear implants across the Southeast. This remote, field-based role will be based in the Tampa or Orlando, Florida area, supporting a regional territory with frequent travel.

You will guide consumers through the journey from awareness to long-term success, collaborating with cochlear implant centers, healthcare professionals, recipients, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in audiology or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in hearing healthcare, patient or consumer engagement, healthcare education, or related field.
• Experience with cochlear implants, hearing healthcare, or medical devices is valued.
• Bilingual Spanish and English

Responsibilities

• Educate and engage prospective cochlear implant candidates, recipients, families, and healthcare professionals to support informed decision-making throughout the hearing implant journey.
• Build strong relationships with cochlear implant centers and healthcare professionals to strengthen referral pathways and improve patient education.
• Develop HearPeer Community content and mentor recruitment to expand peer connections.
• Plan and participate in national and regional consumer-focused conferences, educational programs, and community events.
• Track engagement activities and outcomes using CRM, maintaining accurate records and reporting insights.
