Job summary

Manay CPA, a global accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a bilingual Accounting Associate to support Turkish-speaking clients from the US. You will collaborate with managers and associates to deliver accurate accounting and tax support for diverse clients, focusing on onboarding and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping, tax preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's degree a plus
• Minimum 2 years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Fluency in Turkish and English, written and spoken
• CPA license or CPA track candidates will be prioritized
• Other certifications (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.) will also be considered
• CPA firm/public accounting experience is a big plus!
• Hands‑on individual and business tax experience is a must
• International tax experience is a strong plus
• Minimum 2 years of experience with accounting software
• Experience handling accounting and reporting for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations
• Ability to deliver accurate work on time with minimal supervision
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, clients, and external contacts
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional discretion
• Collaborative, team‑first approach
• Willingness to stay current on industry developments and regulatory changes
• Management skills, or a willingness to grow into a management role

Responsibilities

• Onboard new clients and set up their accounting records
• Support client acquisition and retention with high-quality service
• Handle daily bookkeeping, AP/AR, monthly closes, and reports
• Prepare and file U.S. corporate and individual tax returns
• Prepare sales tax returns, depreciation, payroll tax reviews
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc reports
• Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist audits
• Maintain accurate digital and physical records
• Document, design, and test processes affecting financial statements
• Identify opportunities to automate systems and spreadsheets for efficiency
• Collaborate with managers to meet client deadlines with clear communication
• Support payroll, special projects, and other related duties as assigned
