Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to solve complex data problems and provide insights to decision-makers. You will work with data from internal and external sources and influence department strategy, with latitude in technical approach for project components.

The role is fully remote and aligned to CST/EST business hours; travel may be required for training or meetings. Strong Python/PySpark, Databricks, data modeling, and front-end UI skills are essential.

Qualifications

: Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of technical experience in analytics OR a Master's Degree and at least 1 year of experience.
: You have intermediate python/pyspark experience in Databricks
: You have experience designing data models, taxonomies, or schemas, versioning and conflict/precedence rules
: You have intermediate Power BI + Power Apps, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance tuning
: You have experience with front-end UI development with TypeScript (Angular or React) or Python (Streamlit, Dash, etc.)
: While this role is fully remote, it will operate on CST/EST standard business hours.
: This position requires learning many systems, policies, and tools, and it takes time to become proficient in the role. Must be willing to remain in this position for a period of twelve (12) months before applying to other Humana opportunities.

Responsibilities

: Solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
: Describe the tools, technologies and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present data to create insightful information.
: Begin to influence department strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex technical approaches.
: Exercise latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
