Job summary

Aspen Aerogels, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems to lead growth across North America.

This strategic role owns revenue, bookings, and gross margin targets while expanding Aspen’s footprint with utility-scale and commercial storage customers. The role requires 5+ years of progressive sales experience in technical markets, strong executive communication, and the ability to build new accounts and access decision makers across engineering and procurement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive sales experience.
• 3+ business development experience in BESS battery systems or related market.
• Demonstrated record of meeting revenue targets in a complex, long-cycle sales environment.
• Strong written executive communication and cross-functional leadership.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% across the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver NA BESS revenue, bookings, gross margin, and new-customer objectives.
• Build new business with BESS integrators, battery suppliers, developers, EPCs, and asset owners.
• Prospect and advance priority accounts; engage with engineering, safety, procurement, and executives.
• Create account plans identifying needs, decision makers, competitive position, and timing.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline and update CRM with forecasts and risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to move opportunities to production.
