Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer II to lead the design, development, and implementation of battery energy storage system projects. You will apply power systems expertise, assess BESS equipment, and ensure safety, reliability, and performance across projects.

The role is fully remote with expectations discussed in interviews. You will collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and clients to deliver solutions that meet performance and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Knowledge of BESS components and grid interconnection equipment.
• Experience with power system analysis and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility standards.

Responsibilities

• Review design and engineering of BESS projects adhering to contracts and AHJ requirements.
• Serve as technical contributor across electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV scopes.
• Coordinate with engineers of record and third-party partners for timely delivery.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and procurement support.
• Provide engineering oversight during testing, commissioning, and energization.
