Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer II to design, develop, and implement battery energy storage projects. The role focuses on power systems, BESS equipment, and industry standards to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

This position is fully remote; travel may be required. You will collaborate across electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV engineering teams, review specs, support procurement, and provide field support during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years electrical engineering experience focused on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Knowledge of BESS components (lithium-ion batteries, inverters, BMS) and grid interconnection equipment.
• Familiarity with power system analysis tools (PSS/E, PSCAD) and related standards (NEC, IEEE).
• Experience with EPC workflows, design deliverables, submittals, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Review BESS design and engineering to ensure contracts, utilities, and AHJ compliance.
• Contribute across electrical, civil, structural, SCADA, and HV scopes on projects.
• Coordinate with Engineers of Record and third-party partners for timely delivery.
• Develop and review technical specs, drawings, and documentation for BESS components.
