Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager – Employee Benefits to manage a portfolio of client accounts with a Producer's guidance. You will oversee client service, data management, renewals, and carrier communications while leading the Account Coordinators.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the benefits space, active licensing, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office. This remote role supports Eastern and Central Time zones and offers competitive pay and growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience and active licensing are required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills are required.
• High accuracy in handling large workloads is expected.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is preferred.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Client Management: Manage an assigned book of business and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Client Service: Deliver outstanding service, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to requests.
• Team Leadership: Lead the account team with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist others.
• Daily Activities: Direct daily activities of Account Coordinators and coordinate tasks.
• Business Growth: Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• New Business Setup: Manage data gathering, client file creation, and setup processes.
• Renewal Process: Manage renewals, verify data, obtain rates, and coordinate training.
• Client Relationships: Build and improve client relationships and seek feedback.
• Intermediary Role: Advocate for clients and carriers for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Value-Added Solutions: Identify and implement value-added solutions for clients.
• Professional Development: Support team training and development and promote a positive work environment.
