Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide behavioral healthcare, counseling, case management, and clinical support for SOF personnel and families. The role supports psychological and operational readiness through collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams and stakeholders. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Current LCSW or LMSW with license valid in the state of practice is required.
• Minimum of two years of related mental health experience.
• Must meet credentialing and privileging standards per Defense Health Agency procedures.
• Experience with brief behavioral interventions is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of peer‑reviewable clinical work experience in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of employees and cultivate a high-performance work environment.
• Ensure adequate staff coverage for the program area.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the program area.
• Meet contract and SLA requirements.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Conduct research and clinical investigations as approved.

Education
