Job summary

LifeStance Health seeks a Behavioral Health Medical Scheduler to manage inbound and outbound calls, gather insurance information, and verify coverage for potential clients. You will operate within a team, support patients, and coordinate with payors and staff to start insurance verification.

The role requires independence and collaboration, with a focus on accurate documentation, high-quality service, and HIPAA-compliant processes in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with Medical Scheduling preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet and Email.
• Prior experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs) preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining confidentiality of records aligning with HIPAA requirements.
• Assess for high risk/high acuity needs and collaborates a warm hand-off to a Behavioral Health Professional.
• Maintain client-related paperwork (billing, BH screeners, progress notes, contact notes, and other required forms).
• Exceptional Customer Service.
• Answering and routing calls as appropriate.
• Daily outbound calls to potential clients.
• Engage with multiple payors and their interfaces.
• Additional responsibilities as appropriate.
