Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing required.
• RN license required.
• 1–3 years in behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with admissions and triage is a plus.
• Familiarity with EMTALA and patient privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Receives inquiry calls and assists scheduling face-to-face assessments.
• Assesses patients or coordinates RN assessment for admission.
• Coordinates with physician to determine appropriate treatment setting.
• Screens medical and behavioral emergency conditions.
• Completes admission paperwork and initial care authorization with payors.
• Documents calls and uses Wellsky for intake data.
• Triages emergent patients and prioritizes care.
• Works with various referral platforms (Kno2, Carelink, Open Beds, Xferral, Bed Board).
