Job summary

Humana is seeking an experienced medical coding auditor for outpatient Behavioral Health disputes within the Disputes Team. This remote role supports timeliness, compliance, and quality in coding dispute outcomes while collaborating across departments.

The position requires CPC or CCS certification, 3+ years of BH coding audits, and strong communication skills. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally; benefits include health coverage and 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Certified coder with CPC or CCS credentials.
• Experience reading and interpreting Behavioral Health claims.
• 3+ years performing Behavioral Health coding audits in health insurance or hospital settings.
• Auditing CPT/HCPCS coding in disputes and trending results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Disputes Team to ensure timely resolution of outpatient coding disputes.
• Communicate disputes outcomes to providers in a professional and concise manner.
• Adhere to coding guidelines and industry best practices.
• Maintain high accuracy and accountability for dispute timeliness and quality.
