Job summary

Humana is seeking an experienced Outpatient Behavioral Health Coding Auditor to handle provider disputes in a metrics-driven environment. The role focuses on CPT/HCPCS coding disputes within the Disputes Team and offers remote work with occasional travel to Humana offices for training.

The ideal candidate has CPC or CCS certification, extensive outpatient BH coding audit experience, and strong communication skills to ensure timely, accurate dispute resolutions in health insurance and/or hospital

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS Certification required.
• CPT/HCPCS auditing experience.
• 1+ years' experience reading Behavioral Health claims.
• 3+ years' experience performing Behavioral Health coding audits and disputes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit outpatient Behavioral Health coding disputes for accuracy and compliance.
• Consult with coding professionals across departments to resolve disputes.
• Communicate disputes outcomes to providers professionally and concisely.
• Manage multiple disputes with timely completion and quality outcomes.

Education

Associate's Degree or higher in Health Information Management (HIM)
