Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in behavioral health billing, telehealth preferred.
• Experience billing both commercial and Medicaid payers.
• Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining prior authorizations.
• Understanding full revenue cycle from intake to payment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and intake information; contact payers as needed.
• Obtain prior authorizations for telehealth behavioral health services.
• Resolve billing issues to prevent denials and ensure claims submission.
• Identify and correct eligibility or benefit discrepancies before care impact.
• Respond to billing inquiries and reconcile patient balances via email.
• Post payments accurately and manage end-to-end billing, including overturned denials.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, file appeals, and communicate with payers.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and patient communication.
