Job summary

Centerstone in Columbus, Indiana, seeks a Contact Center Specialist to provide a compassionate, patient-focused first contact. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, document in CRM/EMR, and coordinate with clinicians while meeting KPIs.

You’ll work remotely at times and within a collaborative team, with a strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance and quality patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in health care, customer service, or contact center.
• Experience using EMR, CRM, or scheduling software encouraged.
• Familiarity with integrated communication platforms and HIPAA/PHI rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respectful, compassionate experience and aim for one-call resolution.
• Schedule appointments or connect callers with appropriate clinicians.
• Complete crisis screenings and coordinate with crisis teams when needed.
• Gather demographic data and document accurately in CRM/EMR.
• Identify caller funding sources and perform brief insurance verification.
• Manage referrals in Salesforce and conduct outbound follow-ups.
