Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC) Operator in Houston for 24/7 monitoring of a growing BESS portfolio across ERCOT and CAISO markets. You will perform remote maintenance, flag issues, and coordinate field teams for repairs.

The role requires night/day shift rotation, SCADA experience, and compliance with ENGIE safety policies. A strong technical background in electrical/instrumentation controls and familiarity with HSE is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma, or two (2) year diploma/certificate in a technical program (Electrical or Instrumentation controls).
• Experience with SCADA systems or similar software.
• Experience with HSE protocols. Training will be provided on company-specific HSE protocols.
• Office based, requires physical presence in Houston, Texas and night/day shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Safety: check in/out of field staff, interact with SCADA to engage/disengage equipment, monitor alarms, and follow emergency protocols.
• Grid-facing monitoring: monitor transmission-level voltage, coordinate outages with TDSP/ISO, and support commissioning testing.
• Remote Asset Operations: coordinate unit restoration, perform planned maintenance remotely, and troubleshoot unplanned maintenance.
• Performance monitoring: use reports to flag deviations and coordinate with cross-functional teams for maintenance tasks.
