Responsibilities

Control Room Operator – Night Shift

We are seeking a Control Room Operator to join a 24/7 Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC) supporting renewable energy assets across the United States.

This is an on-site night-shift position in Centennial, Colorado, working approximately four 12-hour shifts per week, with the potential for overtime.

The role is focused on monitoring operational sites, responding to alarms and abnormal conditions, and communicating issues to the appropriate field and maintenance teams. Previous control-room experience is highly desirable, including candidates coming from power generation, utilities, renewable energy, oil & gas, manufacturing or other 24/7 operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor renewable energy assets and operating conditions through SCADA and control-room systems.
• Monitor alarms, faults and equipment status and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Follow established operating procedures and elevate issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate with field technicians, maintenance teams and other operational personnel during incidents and outages.
• Support safe and timely restoration of equipment following operational issues.
• Record operating events, alarms, incidents and actions accurately within company systems.
• Utilize work-management/CMMS systems to support maintenance activities and work orders.
• Monitor site performance and communicate relevant information to field personnel.
• Support planned and unplanned outage activities across multiple operating sites.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and provide effective handovers between operating teams.
• Follow company safety, operational and regulatory procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a control room, operations center, dispatch center or similar monitoring environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with SCADA, industrial control systems, plant monitoring or remote asset monitoring is highly desirable.
• Candidates from renewable energy, utilities, power generation, oil & gas or other industrial operations environments are encouraged to apply.
• Comfortable monitoring multiple systems and responding appropriately to alarms and changing operating conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with field and maintenance personnel.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new monitoring and work-management systems.
• Strong attention to detail when recording operational information and incidents.
• Ability to remain focused while working independently in a control-room environment.
• Must be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Experience with renewable energy assets, CMMS systems, NERC-related operations or wind, solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) would be beneficial but is not essential.

Assignment Details

Location: Centennial, CO – On-site
Schedule: Night shift – approximately four 12‑hour shifts per week
Pay: $38–$40 per hour
Contract: October 2026 – January 2027
Overtime: Potential overtime available
