Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of mortgage industry practices and bankruptcy processes.
• Proficiency in bankruptcy search tools.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors, attorneys, clients and stakeholders to ensure best practices.
• Review and reallocate funds in suspense for proper payment application.
• Evaluate and approve fee requests within investor guidelines.
• Assist internal departments to ensure proper servicing actions.
• Maintain controls as required by internal procedures.
• Stay updated on bankruptcy laws, procedures and investor guidelines.
• Review accounts at acquisition/onboarding for internal controls.
• Manage bankruptcy milestones.
• Monitor bankruptcy docket to ensure appropriate action.
• Complete monthly review of assigned bankruptcy portfolio and identify filings.
• Assist in quality control of vendor-managed processes.
• Monitor and oversee vendors for assigned tasks.
• Review attorney-prepared documents for execution.
• Research bankruptcy matters (payments, history, trustee ledger).
• Correspond with attorneys and address requests for information promptly.
• Review and reconcile accounts at bankruptcy closure.
• Process incoming mail.
• All other duties as assigned.
