Job summary

Digital Federal Credit Union is seeking a Bankruptcy Team Member I to manage a portfolio of active bankruptcy loans. Responsibilities include tracking member bankruptcy filings, filing necessary legal documents, and collaborating with trustees and attorneys.

The ideal candidate will have previous paralegal experience or strong knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are essential. This is a remote position available to residents of certain Northeast states.

Qualifications

• Experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
• Familiarity with legal documents related to bankruptcy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of active bankruptcy loans.
• File necessary legal documents to protect DCU’s interests.
• Attend bankruptcy hearings representing DCU.

Skills

Paralegal experience or creditor-side knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy

Consumer, default or bankruptcy experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Time management and organizational skills

Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly with Microsoft Excel
