Job summary

Foundation Finance Company is seeking a Bankruptcy Support Specialist to manage and process bankruptcy-related accounts within the portfolio, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and accurate reporting to protect company assets.

You will coordinate with courts, trustees, attorneys, and internal teams, track case status, adjust repayment plans, and help develop procedures for bankruptcy processing and loss mitigation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in bankruptcy, loan servicing, collections, or a related field.
• Proficiency in loan servicing or case management software required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet software.

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor, and manage bankruptcy accounts while ensuring compliance with automatic stay requirements.
• Prepare case notes and file bankruptcy-related documents (proofs of claim, reaffirmation agreements, discharge paperwork).
• Serve as liaison with courts, trustees, attorneys, and internal departments on bankruptcy matters.
• Track and report bankruptcy case status, recoveries, and risks to management.
• Monitor payment plans and adjust repayments as required by court orders.
• Assist in developing bankruptcy processing and recovery policies.
• Identify risk exposure and recommend loss mitigation strategies.
• Take inbound calls to support Account Servicing on bankruptcy questions.
