Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Bankruptcy Specialist to prepare bankruptcy filing documents and supporting materials, ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires updating systems, communicating statuses, and coordinating with attorneys and courts.

You will review debtor schedules, handle inquiries, calculate and apply fees, and manage deadlines while delivering professional, compassionate service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Five years of experience processing mortgage foreclosures and related documents with at least one year in bankruptcy.

Responsibilities

• Manage Bankruptcy portfolio independently.
• Ensure MFRs are requested and referred to attorney promptly.
• Enter detailed notes in the system for actions, delays, and follow-ups.
• Review debtor schedules, plans and intentions; take appropriate action.
• Handle inbound calls for Bankruptcy and provide excellent customer service.
• Process referrals with outside counsel for various bankruptcy actions.
• Calculate and apply bankruptcy fees to loans.
• Ensure notices are received and filed correctly.
• Understand payment histories and apply them accurately.
• Meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks.
