Job summary

Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Call Center Specialist to assist external and internal clients with debit card, digital banking, and various banking needs via telephone. This is a full-time, mostly remote role with swing shifts including evenings and weekends.

Location preference is New Orleans, LA area and/or Dallas, TX area for in-office availability as needed. The ideal candidate has experience in client service call centers, strong communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience in client service call centers or client services industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management with ability to work independently.
• Punctual, reliable, and detail oriented.
• Must have reliable internet service at residence to work from home when needed.
• Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs, clarify information, troubleshoot, and research to resolve banking issues.
• Manage outbound calls in a timely manner.
• Answer incoming calls to assist with digital banking needs and product information; respond to client complaints respectfully.
• Participate in training to improve product knowledge and service skills.
• Escalate client complaints to management when necessary.
• Handle debit card travel alerts and increases for clients and branches.
• Process deposit account file maintenance, copies of checks/statements, and other requests.
• Respond to stop payment requests, including COD interest checks.
• Place outbound calls when needed.
• Work swing shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
