Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Business Development Manager, Advisor to promote the bank’s full range of products and services. You will be a consultative ambassador who builds trusted advisor relationships across our regional market.

You will align client/advisor needs with innovative technology and solutions, lead annual plans, travel within your territory, and work remotely as required. The role emphasizes collaboration with wealth, insurance and deposit teams to expand advisor engagement

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of banking/credit experience.
• Strong business planning and territory management skills.
• Excellent consultative selling and negotiation abilities.
• Diplomacy and conflict management to handle resistance and ensure policy compliance.
• Effective presentation skills for groups of varying sizes.
• Innovative sales strategies and product applications.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and expand advisor/referral relationships within territory.
• Enhance value-added product delivery and advisory services with bank products.
• Develop proposals, business cases and analyses for advisors.
• Share best practices with other Manulife Bank BDMs to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with wealth, insurance and group reps to grow advisor engagement.
