LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Bambara Interpreter for remote, work‑from‑home engagement in the United States. The role involves on‑demand phone interpretation across multiple industries and requires delivering accurate, culturally aware interpretation in real time.

This independent contractor position emphasizes confidentiality, professionalism and adaptability to dynamic call volumes. Strong language skills and a quiet home workspace are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Bambara and English with cultural understanding.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in interpretation preferred.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render correct meanings according to interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Speak clearly in both Bambara and English with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professionalism and calm during sessions, including emergencies such as 911 calls.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations while respecting LEP protocols.
• Understand terminology for healthcare, insurance, finance and law.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Some calls may be highly emotional or stressful and may require extended time on a call.
