LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Bahnar-English Phone Interpreter to work from home as an independent contractor. You will handle on-demand calls, translating verbally between Bahnar and English for a range of industries, including healthcare, government, and finance.

Position is remote with a quiet home office and requires flexibility, reliability, and cultural sensitivity. Training is provided; advancement opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualificações

• Fluency in Bahnar and English.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences for LEP communication.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for accurate interpretation.
• Remain neutral and professional on calls, including sensitive topics.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ with work authorization in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render correct concepts and meanings per interpretation protocol, without omissions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain professionalism and a calm demeanor during sessions, including emergencies.
• Remain punctual and available during work hours; follow client instructions.
• Understand protocols for medical, insurance, finance and law industries.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Some calls may be emotional or stressful; provide required service levels.
