Job summary

Maximus seeks a Software Developer (Backend) to support USAF missions with backend design and development, RESTful APIs, and data model optimization. You will build scalable, secure services and integrate systems in a DevSecOps environment.

This remote role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly access; travel up to 10-20% may be needed. Position contingent on contract award and availability.

Qualifications

• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab, plus cloud deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations.
• RESTful API development and modification; database management and data model optimization.
• Participation in cloud deployments and containerized environments (Kubernetes, RedHat Linux).
