Job summary

Maximus seeks a Backend Software Developer to support USAF mission systems with strong back-end design and RESTful API work. This remote role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and will involve cloud, DevSecOps, and multi-system integrations.

Required are 7+ years of software development, experience with Jira, and hands-on work in AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux environments. The position is contingent upon award and may travel 10-20%.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in OO languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide backend design and development for USAF mission systems.
• Develop and modify RESTful APIs, manage databases, and optimize data models.
• Perform system tests, documentation, and support for new/updated capabilities.
• Collaborate on cloud deployments and system integrations; ensure security and DevSecOps practices.
