Job summary

Maximus TCS is seeking a Backend Software Developer to support USAF missions with back-end design, RESTful API development, and data model optimization. This remote role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to travel 10–20% of the time.

You will apply DevSecOps practices, work with AWS, Kubernetes, and relational databases, and participate in defining requirements for new system capabilities and integrations.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in the functional area; Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 7 years of software development in OO and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, containers.
• Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web apps.
• 3 years of experience with AWS, Kubernetes, RedHat Linux.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required; ability to travel 10–20%.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end architectures to support system capabilities and integrations.
• Develop and modify RESTful APIs and enable data model optimization.
• Manage relational databases and support system testing.
• Apply DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Collaborate to define requirements for new system capabilities.
