Job summary

Censys is seeking a Software Engineer, ideally with 2-4 years of experience, to work remotely within the United States. Your responsibilities will include developing backend services to enhance our threat intelligence platform, collaborating with multiple engineering teams, and owning the full development lifecycle. The position requires knowledge in Go programming and cloud infrastructure, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $165,000 USD, plus benefits and equity options.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in designing and enhancing backend services.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance backend services for the Censys Platform.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs.
• Contribute to an iterative development process.
• Own the full development lifecycle.

Skills

Backend services in Go (Golang)

Understanding of distributed systems

Database design knowledge

Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or GCP)

Collaboration and communication skills

Analytical troubleshooting skills

Experience building services on GCP
