Job summary

Censys is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to join our team. You will architect and refine backend services for the Adversary Investigation module within our SaaS platform, enabling threat intelligence for SOC analysts and incident responders.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend teams while owning end-to-end development, testing, deployment, and monitoring in a distributed cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience building distributed web applications and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and refine backend services for the Adversary Investigation module.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Frontend teams.
• Own development cycle from builds to deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate internal systems and external APIs to enable data-intensive experiences.
• Engage in a fast-paced, iterative environment focused on technical excellence.
