Go Backend Engineer for Cybersecurity Platform

Job summary

NetRise is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build and operate the core services powering our platform, including Go services, gRPC APIs, and data pipelines that turn raw firmware and binaries into supply-chain intelligence.

You’ll design services end-to-end, implement asynchronous processing, and ensure observability, testing, and CI/CD as we scale in a fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production backend services in Go.
• Strong knowledge of Go idioms, concurrency, contexts, modules and generics.
• Experience designing APIs with versioning and schema evolution.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous pipelines.
• Observability via OpenTelemetry (traces, metrics, logs).
• CI/CD pipelines and containerized builds.
• Testing discipline in Go, including table-driven tests and mocks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend services from design to deployment.
• Design gRPC/protobuf contracts and evolve APIs with proper filtering, pagination, ordering.
• Build and operate asynchronous systems with Pub/Sub, workers, and dead-letter queues.
• Model and maintain data in PostgreSQL including migrations.
• Ensure production observability and CI/CD pipelines; manage infrastructure with Terraform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering for technical roadmap and best practices.
