Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking experienced Back End Developers for a fully remote, hourly contract role. You will design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products, with data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices handling real-world traffic.

You’ll work asynchronously with a distributed team, contributing to robust backend architectures and performant systems. Remote, flexible hours, 10–40 hours/week, with opportunities for ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

• Backend languages: Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Rust.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) experience a plus.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI workloads.
• Write clean, testable code with proper documentation.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers and researchers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in code reviews.
• Work independently on task-based or project-based assignments.
