Job summary

Affim is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to design and build the next generation checkout platform. You will work on APIs, microservices, and high-availability services that power the customer checkout experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and engineering leaders, ownership of critical components, and improving system health at scale. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
• Experience shipping backend services at scale is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new APIs and microservices interfaces to manage user transactions.
• Own components of checkout systems and drive their long-term health and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers across the organization to build the next generation of the checkout platform.
• Continuously improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the checkout platform.
