Bitovi is hiring a Backend Developer Consultant to build and operate enterprise-grade Go and TypeScript services, GraphQL APIs, and Kafka workflows on AWS. You will own how systems run in production, interface with stakeholders, and drive modernization while traveling occasionally.

Qualifications

• Enterprise-scale backend experience and production ownership.
• Strong Go knowledge and server-side TypeScript/Node experience.
• GraphQL API design and Kafka-based streaming experience.
• AWS, Kubernetes, and modern delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Build durable Go and TypeScript services, GraphQL APIs, and Kafka pipelines.
• Lead modernization efforts: move services/data across platforms and clouds with observability.
• Own reliability: run services on AWS/Kubernetes with focus on repeatability and observability.
• Consult with clients to deliver outcome-driven applications and tackle challenges.
• Travel up to 3–5 days per quarter and contribute to conferences or content.
