Job summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled cloud engineer to help modernize a global multi-cloud environment in support of a critical USAF mission. You will design secure cloud-native systems across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, build automated CI/CD pipelines, and implement DevSecOps across platforms.

The role involves IaC with Terraform/Ansible, container orchestration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure availability, security, and cost effectiveness. Hybrid remote in MA or AL preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master's with 2-6 years, or equivalent.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Java, Go).
• Solid Linux/Unix, networking fundamentals, and Git skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop secure, cloud-native systems across multi-cloud environments.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Assist integration of DevSecOps pipelines across cloud platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Deploy and support applications in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Configure and sustain container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Monitor availability, performance, and resiliency of distributed cloud systems.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and security automation.
• Create technical documentation and system diagrams.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, security, and operations teams.
