Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Cloud Computing Engineer Principal (MCCF-Healthcare Systems) for the VA. This full-time, remote role requires deep Azure expertise, DevOps leadership, and experience designing enterprise cloud architectures for government workloads.

You will implement CI/CD, manage security controls, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR and PCI DSS while guiding a team of engineers across VA Enterprise Cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Azure infrastructure and services.
• Large-scale, highly available cloud architectures.
• Security and compliance with HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS.

Responsibilities

• Create data flow and cloud diagrams for Cloud Infrastructure and systems.
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate CI/CD automation.
• Manage permissions in cloud environments for each app and service.
• Implement monitoring for cloud architectures to ensure performance and compliance.
• Provide Cloud support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments and VIP requirements.
• Adopt DevOps practices and tooling for CI/CD.
• Design VAEC solutions and address cloud-readiness gaps.
