Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and related experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience authoring Terraform from scratch.
• 5+ years Windows Server and IIS experience with .NET workloads.
• Experience administering MS SQL Server and Amazon RDS.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or AWS CodeBuild.
• Scripting with PowerShell and Python or Bash.
• Observability using Datadog or CloudWatch.
• Certificate management and TLS/SSL.
• Ability to obtain NIH Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, harden, and troubleshoot Windows apps on Windows Server and IIS.
• Administer SQL Server databases on-prem and RDS.
• Define AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Build deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild.
• Front applications with AWS load balancers and WAF rules.
• Instrument platform with dashboards, SLAs, and alerts.
• Migrate Windows apps from on-prem to AWS and modernize them.
• Collaborate with owners and engineers to plan and implement projects.
• Automate routine ops into self-service capabilities.
• Monitor health and respond to outages or degraded performance.
• Document admin processes and configs.
• Present to team on DevOps and cloud practices.
• After hours/weekend support for planned maintenance.
