General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud DevOps Team Lead to guide our NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program. The role emphasizes leadership, cloud engineering excellence, and delivery of secure cloud services across AWS and Azure.

The position requires strong people leadership, Agile delivery, and the ability to translate customer needs into scalable cloud solutions, while fostering automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 10+ years in an IT-related discipline.
• Experience leading a technical team’s day-to-day execution, including engineering, service delivery, Agile development, and project activities.
• People management experience including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Experience leading cloud engineering, DevOps, modernization, or other complex technical initiatives from planning through successful delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight for your team by delegating and prioritizing task execution, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring timely delivery of cloud DevOps services.
• Oversee service catalog, identify customer demands, own the technical strategy and vision, and rally the team to realize it.
• Collaborate with Project Managers/Scrum Masters to ensure transparent communications on timelines, resources, risks, and status; step into PM role when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver new services and ways of working to keep pace with customer demands.
• Oversee personnel management including recruitment, performance management, training, and mentoring for all team members.
• Provide incident oversight and coordinate with stakeholders during and after resolution.
