Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking a senior software engineer to own and evolve AWS architecture for enterprise workloads, with a focus on multi-account foundations and security baselines. You will implement governance, IAM integrations, and robust automation using TypeScript and Python.

You will lead operational excellence with monitoring, incident response, and durable fixes, while partnering with IT to raise production readiness and mentor peers across teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering experience with AWS production systems.
• Strong full-stack capability in TypeScript and Python.
• Deep experience with AWS services and governance at scale.
• Experience with enterprise SSO and security controls.
• Proven ownership of incidents and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS architecture for enterprise workloads.
• Establish and improve AWS governance, tagging, cost controls, and audit readiness.
• Design and operate IAM and identity integrations for SSO and least-privilege access.
• Build and operate AWS platforms using TypeScript and Python; include serverless and containers.
• Drive monitoring, runbooks, and incident response; participate in on-call rotations.
• Automate infrastructure via IaC (Pulumi/SST) and CI/CD (Bitbucket/GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate across engineering and IT to improve production readiness and mentor others.
