Job summary

ComTec Information Systems (IT) seeks an experienced AWS Administrator to design secure, scalable cloud architectures across commercial and government environments. You will implement patches, manage S3 security, and drive IaC using CloudFormation or Terraform.

The role includes IAM Center, Glue ETL pipelines, ECS/Lambda/API Gateways, EMR Serverless, BedRock AI/ML, and centralized governance with Security Hub and logging.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an AWS Administrator.
• Hands-on AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
• Hands on experience with Glue/Glue ETL, ECS, EMR Serverless, BedRock, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Security Hub, Logging & Alerting, Landing Zone accelerator, DynamoDB, KMS.
• Familiarity with AWS security best practices and services such as KMS, Secrets Manager, and AWS Security Hub.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience supporting Iceberg, RedShift, and/or Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures.
• Patch EC2 instances and manage S3 storage security.
• Use IaC to deploy cloud resources with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Manage IAM Identity Center for access control across the cloud environment.
• Develop ETL pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Operate AWS ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.
• Support AWS EMR Serverless for big data processing.
• Leverage AWS Bedrock for AI/ML workloads.
• Configure AWS Security Hub to monitor threats.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting for cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy secure solutions.
• Manage Snowflake, Redshift, and Iceberg on AWS.
