Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks an AWS Cloud Engagement Leader to own the AWS business for the West region, spanning CA, OR, AZ, and related sub-LOBs.

You will drive cloud opportunities, lead solutioning, and mentor delivery teams while coordinating with AWS stakeholders and internal leadership. The role combines strategic business development with hands-on cloud expertise, including migration and modernization initiatives, and requires travel within the region to engage clients and stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and platform engineering, including migration and modernization.
Experience as systems/network/cloud engineer with progression into senior, consultative roles.
Familiarity with AWS organizational structure, funding/co-sell programs, and existing AWS relationships.
AI trend awareness with relevant certifications or self-learning a plus.
Consultative sales orientation with pre-sales experience a plus.
Industry exposure in retail, manufacturing, logistics, telecom, high tech, or utilities.
Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills.
Able to navigate ambiguous, non-cookie-cutter situations; high-energy mindset.
Based on the West Coast, ideally CA, AZ and nearby states.

Responsibilities

Own and grow the AWS business across the West region (CA, OR, AZ, CO, and sub-LOBs).
Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders to identify cloud opportunities.
Lead end-to-end engagement activities: solutioning, pre-sales, deal shaping, delivery oversight.
Build strategic relationships with AWS and co-sell/co-delivery programs.
Identify, develop, and close cloud transformation opportunities.
Serve as regional AWS contact; contribute as Engagement Manager, Lead Consultant, Architect, or Delivery Leader as needed.
Act as a player-coach on AWS deal development and orchestrate pursuits.
Mentor delivery managers and account teams on cloud business best practices.
Maintain billable utilization in 50-65% range while balancing business development.
Stay current on AWS capabilities, migration trends, FinOps, and AI-driven delivery models.
Travel within the region as needed.
