Job summary

Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) is seeking an experienced, collaborative leader to serve as the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Services. This executive role directs Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and Student Experience, partnering with the Vice President to advance enrollment strategies and student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible administrative leadership in higher education.
• Experience supervising and developing staff; building collaborative teams.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Experience developing and evaluating strategic enrollment initiatives.
• Experience using enrollment data to improve outcomes and working with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and Student Experience.
• Partner with the VP to implement the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan and advance recruitment and persistence goals.
• Provide leadership for enrollment technologies (e.g., EAB Navigate, Salesforce CRM).
• Oversee student conduct processes and initial review of complaints and grievances with Deputy Title IX responsibilities.
• Supervise staff such as Registrars and Financial Aid coordinators; manage budgets and service standards.
• Use data and performance metrics to evaluate initiatives and improve operational effectiveness.
• Represent the VP and the College on committees and external partnerships.
