Job summary

Community College of Denver (CCD) seeks an experienced leader for the role of Associate Vice President, Progression and Student Success. The AVP will guide Student Services’ coordinated care systems to advance students through credentials and into sustaining-wage careers, integrating career readiness with advising, financial aid, and academic support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field as required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.
• Experience supervising multiple functional areas at director/dean/AVP level; budget management and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead institutional strategy for student progression and coordinated care within the Division of Student Services.
• Oversee implementation of student success technologies and guided outcomes across advisement, financial aid, and career readiness.
• Develop and manage budgets, staffing, and change management to support equity-centered transformation.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Center for Workforce Initiatives, and other stakeholders to align career readiness and labor market information.
• Ensure compliance reporting and accreditation readiness related to student success outcomes.

Education

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field
