Job summary

CS Group USA is seeking a Project Lead to oversee avionics and embedded systems programs, focusing on software or FPGA development. The role emphasizes leadership, project visibility, and coordination across Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, and Certification teams.

The position offers flexible work arrangements including onsite in CT, hybrid, or remote, with mentorship and training provided. Strong candidates will have 7+ years in engineering, and experience leading cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of demonstrated team mentorship or supervising in an engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of EVM, Agile/Scrum, and Scrum Master expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics and embedded systems development projects from initiation through delivery and certification.
• Lead day-to-day execution of engineering activities for full-lifecycle projects.
• Serve as primary representative to customers, engineering teams and management.
• Define and maintain project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resource plan.
• Monitor program execution using EVM, standard metrics, and agile/lean techniques.
• Understand and apply Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, and Certification teams.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and respond to difficult situations while minimizing project disruptions.
• Support and offload senior managers.
• Guide and develop teams; manage individual performance.
