Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a fully remote Avionics Embedded Systems Software Engineer to support embedded avionics software development. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of embedded software experience in avionics and DO-178 (B/C) compliance.

This is a long-term (12+ month) W2 contract. You must reside in the continental US and be able to work remotely Monday–Friday 9am–3pm EST. Responsibilities include development, analysis, integration, testing, V&V, traceability, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years recent experience in embedded software development on embedded systems.
• Experience with DO-178 guidelines (B/C) in avionics projects.
• Strong scripting and testing skills (Python, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, integrate, and test complex hardware for aviation systems.
• Perform V&V tasks, traceability, and test procedures.
• Write documentation and contribute to requirements decomposition.
• Translate customer requirements into effective software implementations.
