Job summary

AVI-SPL seeks a Senior Design Engineer to translate customer needs into AV system designs and detailed documentation. You will partner with Account Managers to capture requirements, assess risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

The role blends technical leadership with mentorship across the engineering team. You will drive complex AV designs, oversee design accuracy, and collaborate with project teams from pre-sale through installation, ensuring solutions meet customer goals and business

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of engineers.
• Strong communication with clients and project teams.
• Ability to identify risks and propose mitigations.
• Continuous learning and staying current with AV tech.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales design and proposal support for AV projects.
• Develop and maintain design standards for large accounts.
• Create system documentation, BOMs, diagrams, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate with vendors, architects, and contractors during design.
• Review junior engineers' designs and provide feedback.
• Act as design authority during project execution.
